Prof. Alberto Arenghi
Civil Engineer, Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering at the Department of Civil, Environmental, Architectural Engineering and Mathematics of the University of Brescia. He deals with the issue of accessibility with reference to new buildings, historic buildings, and accessibility plans, also in relation to the application of current regulations. He is a consultant for public and private entities. He serves as the Rector’s Delegate for Disability and SLD.

Prof. Olivia Longo
Architect, PhD in Architectural Design, and Associate Professor at the University of Brescia. Since 1996 she has coordinated and contributed to national and international research, teaching in Summer and Winter Schools. She lectured in design theory and studios, and took part in international exhibitions. She is an editor and author, and has received awards in numerous design competitions. Her research focuses on Architecture and Place, uniting context, history and contemporary innovation.
Prof. Barbara Scala
Associate Professor of Architectural Restoration at the University of Brescia and member of SIRA. Her research focuses on seismic issues in historic buildings around Lake Garda, especially Salò, analyzing urban features and traditional anti-seismic techniques and identifying local seismic culture. Recently she has specialized in HBIM for managing restoration projects, leading agreements with heritage authorities. She coordinates the “Carta di Brescia” project with the Ministry of Culture and has authored over 100 publications.
Arch. Sebastiano Marconcini, Research Fellow
Sebastiano Marconcini (1988) is an architect and researcher whose personal experience has led him to specialize in inclusive design, with a particular focus on cultural heritage and historic contexts. He earned his PhD with a dissertation centred on the UNESCO site of Mantua and Sabbioneta. In 2023, he founded “All.”, his personal architecture firm. Alongside his professional work, he teaches at Polytechnic of Milan, offering a selective course in “Inclusive Design in Historical Context”.

Prof. Andrea Adami
Associate professor of topography and cartography at the ABC Department of the Politecnico di Milano. PhD in Geodesy and Geomatics. Principal investigator of national scientific projects on the use of point clouds for heritage conservation. Participates in European projects on the digitization of historical (Etruscan) heritage.
Active researcher and consultant with extensive experience in cultural heritage documentation and representation, 3D laser scanning, HBIM, historical cartography and geomatics education. He participates to the activities of the research lab in Campus Mantova
Prof. Daniele Treccani
Daniele Treccani is a researcher in Geomatics at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on advanced 3D surveying and modelling of cultural heritage and historic urban environments using photogrammetry, UAS, laser scanning and mobile mapping systems. His activities include geospatial data processing and analysis, GIS and HBIM applications, and artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, with particular attention to urban accessibility and inclusive environments. He is also involved in teaching activities at the AUIC School of Politecnico di Milano and is affiliated with the UNESCO Research Lab at the Mantova Campus.
Abel Getachew Assefa, Research Fellow
Research Fellow and Teaching Assistant at the UNESCO Research Lab, Politecnico di Milano (Mantova Campus). Architect with a Master’s degree in Architectural Design and History. Researcher in HBIM, point-cloud-based heritage documentation, GIS network analysis, and digital accessibility of historic environments. Participant in international academic research projects on architectural heritage and conservation.
